Services

Katie treats children, teens, and adults at all stages of life.

Parent Coaching

Parents/caregivers meet with Katie in person for 12 to 20 sessions to explore how to meet the needs of each family member through education and skill development. Some sessions include children so that they too can learn about their feelings and how to regulate them. Parent coaching sessions are in person at her Mt. Airy office.

Individual and Family Therapy

Katie's therapeutic approach is active, interactive, and experiential. She believes that dynamic and creative therapy gives clients a sense of movement and purpose. Individuals set goals they would like to reach, discover inner resources they did not know they had, and bring fulfillment to their lives and the lives of those around them. Families unlearn old patterns that are not working for them and find creative ways to meet each member's needs in joyful and life-affirming ways. Couples are empowered to see situations from a variety of points of view, understand their cycles of distress, and collaborate on lasting solutions to common problems couples face.

Online Support Groups

Group sessions are a powerful way to get and give support. Each participant gets a chance to give updates on their progress and get feedback, empathy, and understanding. Katie facilitates the process in order to make sure every voice is heard and that the tone is remains non-judgmental. When we meet online we can enjoy the comfort and convenience of being at home while still participating actively.
